Blogs can be about anything. There are no end of subjects for a blog. A quick word of caution before we start. To be a successful blogger you have to be in it for the long term. You therefore have to pick a subject that you are passionate about. It is no good choosing something you know nothing about because you will have to do a lot of research and write lots of articles.
Step 1 – Register A Domain
The first thing you need to do when setting up a blog is to register a name for your blog.

Picking a domain name can be difficult. It has to be relevant to the subject of the blog and contain relevant keywords in the title.
A few words about choosing a domain name.
Make sure you have some domain names ready before you start. The chances are that you will get the domain name of your choice is very rare nowadays.
Try and choose a domain name that ends in .com or .org.
Step 2 Get Hosting For Your Blog
Now that you have a domain name for your blog, you need to get it on the internet so that everyone can see it. The question is How do you do that?

Step 3 Installing WordPress
You have your domain name, you have your hosting, now all you need is something to write your blog on. The number 1 program for bloggers is WordPress. The good news is that you already have it.
Just log-in to BlueHost and click on the control panel. You will find it on the left hand side, third box down.
You will then be asked to install the latest version of WordPress. Just click on the start button.
Next, you select the domain name to install on WordPress, click the drop-down box and select your domain you want to use.
Don’t give up, you are just about there.
The next screen will show you the advanced options.
On this page you can set your username and password. Don’t be lazy and use admin as a username, make it more secure with a user name only you will know.
The same goes for your password. Use letters, numbers and symbols. Make sure you write these down in a secure place in case you ever forget them.
Finally click install now.
Guess what? You have done it.
You can now log into your WordPress blog.
Let’s get you into your blog.
Go to your site followed by /wp-admin
For example www.yoursitename.com/wp-admin
The following screen will appear and you need to enter your saved admin name and password.
You can see why you needed to save them.
You will need to do this every time to you want to add or make changes to your blog.
Once you are inside your blog you can choose your theme, create more pages and posts, add images and videos. Just play around and see what you can do.
